Gary has 30 years as a lifelong teacher and learner with expertise as a facilitator, mentor, trainer, manager, leader and an accredited Executive Coach. His style is searching and challenging but empathic and supportive. His vision for coaching and leadership is all about creating a "team for change" with his clients. Drawing upon his unique combination of higher education, fundamental scientific research and business and coaching skills he encourages and nurtures an innovative and entrepreneurial outlook in individuals and teams
He has a strong and varied professional background including 30 years as a university academic mentoring thousands of students and staff, leading formal and informal teams in education and biomedical research, strategic planning as well as 15 years working alongside industry as a consultant. Gary has directed the Medical Biomics Research Centre at St. George's, University of London for the last seven years.
Gary excels in leadership and transformational coaching but enjoys all type of business coaching. His sole aim is to catalyse quantum leaps in a client's personal and professional success and happiness by raising their awareness of their situation, their true potential and by harnessing their power to overcome barriers to progress. He has a very strong track record in working with teams building their awareness, supporting a search for a common vision and objectives and realisation of what they can achieve together.
Gary is a life-long and committed learner and has a passion for work that transmits to others as they discover what they can achieve. He has also attended a plethora of continual professional development programmes in leadership, management, strategic and financial planning as well as equality and diversity and employment law. Gary is also an Alumni Fellow of the London Technology Network and was Associate Dean for Enterprise and Innovation at St. George's, University of London for six years.
Gary lives in Thames Ditton in North Surrey, England with his Wife Melanie and Daughter Phoebe and enjoys being a marathon kayak coach, traveling the world and learning a new thing each day.
